Frequently Asked Questions

What is the most important feature to look for in a swing set accessory?

The most important feature to consider when selecting swing set accessories is the durability of their materials. More durable materials will be higher-quality. Your accessories need to be more durable if your swing set is located outside than if it’s located inside. Similarly, your accessories should be more durable — for example, weather-resistant, UV-resistant, and corrosion-resistant — if your swing set is located in a harsh environment. A good general principle is always to purchase more durable accessories over less durable ones.

What is the appropriate age range for different swing set accessories?

Different products will have their own age ranges, so it’s always best to consult the manufacturer’s instructions. Generally speaking, at four years old, most kids can use a regular swing seat and can swing safely on their own with supervision. Kids who are six years or older can safely enjoy most swing set accessories with proper demonstration and instruction. Good swing set accessories can be used by your kids well into their teenage years, assuming that your kids maintain interest and follow the use and weight restrictions.
